Diagnosis of Consumer Protection state
for a GCC public origanisaiton, the project aimed to analyze and evaluate the current consumer protection state and legislative framework, identifying gaps and aligning the system with international best practices to ensure greater protection for consumers.
The Work:
- Conducted an extensive benchmarking study of international consumer protection practices.
- Analyzed existing legislation and identified gaps in the current system.
- Developed a comprehensive roadmap for enhancing consumer protection, including a new legislative framework and supporting regulations.
The Result/Impact:
The recommendations resulted in the development of 22 initiatives to improve consumer protection, ensuring that the new framework was in line with global standards and enhancing consumer rights and market oversight. The project also incldued training and change mangement to ensure successful activaiton of the new intitiaves.
